As two New York set designers we have often been frustrated trying to find special props to bring to shoots. Why couldn't we find that great groovy chair or bench? Over the years, we have searched for pieces, found things by chance, collected on our travels, made things ourselves, and refurbished vintage finds. Area Props NYC is a small boutique prop house compiled from our collection
and it's our pleasure to share some of it with you.

At Area Props NYC, you will find a selection of props that will bring something unique to your shoot. From the perfect chair or stool to special hand-made textiles and more, we mainly focus on natural fabrics and materials with a bohemian, modern flair and eclectic vibe. We have collected special and sometimes obscure treasures found at markets in Udaipur, Marrakech, the Marché Dauphine and Brimfield that you won't find at other prop shops. We hope to inspire you and help you make your shoot into something truly unique, and effortlessly chic.
